The Doctor made a duoction of the following roots, viz. I ku li, tas no wa, A tsi sa ti (crow leg), , i.e., Ko gu ku nu ske Tsu he tlo ki, ku no stu gs la, osu ne no ti, u ti la sti U we to i ta, A ma a ti to ti, The patient first drank enough of the above duaction to puke him, i.e., he took the emetic once a day for four days and ate nothing but light food. On the third or fourth day the parts affected by the cramp are snatched with briars and then washed with the above duaction. If the patient was cured, then on the morning of the fifth day the Doctor ordered a blue jay bird killed from which he plucked the feathers & took a piece of meat from the right side of the breast and offered sacrifice as usual.
