    The first of these was probably to authorize the Alituna and the Hilota, two town functionaries who officiated in these matters, to appoint the preliminary dance, and send out the hunters; ____ or, as others say, himself to nominate seven counsellors, or representatives of the seven prime counsellors, for that purpose. ____
    One form of these local & more modern celebrations, was as follows:
