Sunday 24th Two Indians visited our camp today and probably during the night following stole 20 lbs Beef Sunday 31 During this week we were not very successfull in good digging averaging about $5 each per day. There has been some trouble with Indians this week which was caused by the whites in my opinion two whites were wounded and no Indians killed unless it was one squaw Sunday April 7th This last week we have had pretty "good luck" I myself have averaged about 2 ox per day John & Darling about $8. per day.
