June 13, 1856. My precious brother; I was very glad to receive your letter yesterday {unclear} had been looking anxiously for on, as I wanted much to hear how you and the rest of them were. I wish you were here now, for I have just been arranging a bouquet of the sweetest pink and white wild-flowers, and I would like no better pleasure than to present it to my brother. O, such a beautiful walk as I had the other day in the woods.
