IN THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY SACRAMENT

Celebrated by the Brothers of the Oratory of the Most Holy Lady of the Orchard.

SONNET DEDICATED TO THE GENTLEMEN GUARDIANS OF THE SAID ARCHCONFRAT.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself I. Corinth. 11.

OH because I am not all soul, and heart So only did I feed my fast, Holy Angelic Bread, that hides God. Superabundance of mercy, work of Love.

Food of life, by which others never die, Angelic pasture, whence the desire Of those, who by Heaven's grace, and goodness I join: Always in feeding, and in great desire.

Then does it allow God to live in our breast? Ah how lovely is the beautiful Celestial reign If only it is there, we fully fortunate ones!

But if it is just to accept him and worthy; Weary, and of me, who may be full of error, [**not sure of first two lines**] The Judge, and the Judgment I come to take.

IN ROME, Near Filippo Maria Mancini. 1660. With Lic. of the Authorities.
