Keyes, tenth Cavalry, reports following a trail of Cheyennes from Barry's Creek on the Washita to the North Fork of Canadian eighty miles and capturing the band consisting of fifty two Cheyennes and seventy ponies. They belong to medicine Waters and medicine Arrow's bands. I have ordered him into the post by easy marches as the chase was rapid and exhausting."
