The following is from Senor Mauchaca, a great grand son of one of the settlers from the Canary islands -

  The tribes of Indians subdued by the Missions were the Adaccs or Adaices  The Garanames, ?? of Sn Jose and at Concepcion Apaches - often rebelled and ran away  x and Los texas or Texas or Texan indians.   They were comparatively pacific, but to make them cultivate the lands,
