Mon. 27 cult. corn for Geo. 8:30 a.m. Whole family up to Hill lot to select building site Stayed at Rich's to dinner. Wm A. Bower & wife & Spencer of Honolulu, D.C. 78 were there. Great rain in p.m. Geo. & I went into house & listened to Mr. Bower talk & then studied on plan for our new barn. Eve. barn plans. W.S. Allen here. Tues. 28 a.m. met Allen at Hill lot & staked out barn 18 X 26 ft. Dug potatoes where barn is to be. Shelled corn. p.m. Eli & I to wood lot. I plant beans. then both cut suckers off of apple trees. trimmed whole orchard. Then to hill lot & bugged potatoes. Eve. C.E. business mtg. too late. called on Henry, Lozier, Dumas, Murbach
