As for Money, I shall get some today or tomorrow. I have hardly 5.00 left now}. Our President told me he had been saving up some for me, but was obliged to pay it to another the very day before I came. So you see if I had not stopped in Portland, I should have got my five or six hundred as soon as it arrived here. However he said he would get some for me and I should have twelve per cent interest on the rest.

I think I shall go round to Northfield etc. either tomorrow or Monday 17th. perhaps go to Warwick; perhaps to Troy, N.Y. I came near riding up to Henniker with Mr. Chase today, but thought not on Weather & travelling.

May possible conclude, just to keep my friends from worrying, to go up to Dunbarton.

I wrote to Eliab, and to Charles from Portland on Tuesday.
