Wm McIntosh had obtained the confidence of the Cherokee Chiefs and he was welcomed among them as a brother. They called him the Beloved Brother and the Cherokee Chief; and he would attend their regular Councils, sometimes as a guest, sometimes to examine into strikeout: the complaints of agressions from his own nation, the neighboring Creeks, and strikeout before his own nation he was appointed to represent the rights of the Cherokees.
