Samuel is at the store as usual, little P.P. in his crib asleep, Lizzie eating pea-nuts on the lounge & Ellen in the kitchen knitting. I have been in the garden watering and tending since tea. I do great business there, I can assure you. I wrote you latterly directing to Du Quoin, telling you all about the garden and how the labor of your hands is prospering, but I think it doubtful if you got the letter before leaving.
