ST. FINBARUS CATHEDRAL & RIVER LEE, CORK CITY: Rising above the South Gate Bridge on the south channel of the River Lee, is the imposing Church of Ireland Cathedral of St. Finbarr. It is said to occupy the site of the ancient sixth-century Church of that saint, the present building being the third on the site.
