   My affectnate Friend  It is with pleasure and satisfaction having this opportunity to fulfil my engagement, and I am in great hast to write a few lines to my good friend

and cousin, and hoping that these lines will find my friend well & happy as poss my ??ely I am much better then when I was at East hampton. __ let us bless God my friend for all the mercies & blessing which we receive from him.

 I hope our minds is in the Divines things & that which is belong to our unmost sanls
