X about midnight it being very dark when a very pretty scene presented itself. Negros running to & fro calithing & saddling horses, each with a flambeaux of "light wood"; (Pine). And those who left the bridal scene, this Negroes ahdea with fire from (that used in deer hunting) which sheds a very considerable lifht & over a great extent. The glare & smoke from the fire pan, the party on horseback - now a bounch seen then a carabe riding up along of a young lady doubtless whispering all nothings into her ear, the dense pine bod, & lastly the horrible roads of mud & shish as midnight & a young norther blowing its uniginth airs - made the trip home a scene.
