When I woke up the train was stationary at Gunnison. Soon moved. At station took road for Leadville where we arrived 3 pm. Were met by the G.A.R. a big turn out. Took courage? for the ?. Did not go down. Nice supper at Continental? Hotel. G̶e̶n̶l̶

Genl held informal reception after. I took a turn around town. Regular mining town. Rough.

Slept? at 10pm Very well pleased.
