We are disappointed? in the appearance? of the Missouri it has not the Majestic appearance we expected to find. the Mississippi from Quincy to Hannibal is much better. Still we thought the Father of Waters was rather smaller than represented generally. 28 Monday Today we are very bussy getting our things packed on the wagons for a path? across the Missouri. The weather a little better but warm and dreadful windy so much so that the ferry boat was blown on a sand bar this evening and we were unable to get across. Party all well.
