Clear sunshiny spring like day. Started at 10 o'clock. Left Hopeville one mile to our right. Arrived at Grand River ferry in 4 miles after noon. After a while we woke up the ferryman 80 rods? from the river on the opposite side. Brown and Hungerfirds? put their 4 yoke of oxen
