11 am? Just passed a larger ship from Breman?, waiting for a Steam Eng? to water it up {[Unclear]] N. O. Arrived at Port Eads at 3-35 this afternoon--it is at the mouth of the South Pass & consists of the a light house & about a dozen houses with coal barges & steam brigs? lying around loose--There are quite a number of vessels here, Port Eads seems to lie on both sides of the pass--Can see the white caps on the water not far off, they are very suggestive of sea sickness. Well I shall see! ? We are approaching the breakers & can see distinctly where the Gulf & River meet.
