To day has been ushered in with bright sunshine -- and wind high.  we all well. received a letter from Mr Badger -- he sent me a splendid large Honiton collar -- just come in -- it is so kind and thoughtful.  Mr Bigelow invited me to go to Mr Herfoots on Wednesday  our club meets there.  I took a carriage to go down town -- and took the four children with me -- went shopping.  after tea Miss Flint came in and spent the evening with us.

Teusday June 2nd 1863.
Again the Weather is fine.  I rose at five -- expect to meet [[Mr Badger down. scratched out]] Mr Busch at his house to buy some of his linen -- our relations from New York will be here at seven this afternoon.  we are all in fine health  at nine I went to Mr Busch,s with Ada -- met him, and bought about 100 a hundred dollars worth of his linen -- then went shopping -- Mr Feild of New York came and brought two very pretty black & white check Parasols for children -- that their Father sent them.

Sunday May 31st 1863.

It has been a funny day -- raining, sun shining and hailing --- none of us went to church -- but Nurse Ellen. Father Badger came to see me -- after tea Mr Beigelow called -- and Mr Henning -- I went down first time for a week. I wrote seven letters.

Monday June 1st
