We are now on the Main Rd, having the 'Settlements' on our left - Water Lily in great abundance & beauty in Water holes & heads of Creeks - (Kowampopin Indian for Water Lily).  Around on the [[?]] 8 to 9 miles from camp - There is no scarcity of snakes about but the plant cotton rattlesnake Master is in great abundance the root is [[?]] - It has the taste of a strong bitter [[?]]
