Sat July 31. Hot. hoeing corn at hill lot all day. Jo Eli Ike + I. In p.m. John appeared with a hoe of Geo. Rich's and we finished at 4:30 Went in swimming in 40 in eve. then went all over town to get someone to go to Lake Ave. Sun. August 1 cooler. fair. S.S. and Church. Got Mr. Hults to take my place at Lake Ave and Arthur Winney to take Ellis Wurts' place. 28 present. Jail meeting talked on 40 Psalm.
