Thursday Aug 7. Weather cool. Passed through Ageney and [[unclear]]. The last being the present [[terminess?]] of the Burlington RR. It is full of business situated on the Des. Moines River. Corn is $1 per bushel and hard to find, hay is $1 per hundred pound and [[unclear]]. Ferried the river and camped 1 miles [[unclear]]. Traveled 16 miles.
