My beautiful bird has this name -- Dom Pridro. The appellation is rather singular, I think; but still it is new & pretty. He shall receive every care & attention from the loving hands around me; & I want him, in due season, to warble forth the sweet notes that God has evidently given him, just as I want the musical world to sing the simple words that the same wise & gracious Father has given me to write & send forth. |
