meeting as they call it of Mr. Tenney's  Bible Class as the Free Church he (Mr Tenney) has a class of more than 30 females, 11 or 12 of whom have been hopefully converted during the year;  they, together with a male bible class, have meeting once in a while for social, free religious conversation the object being, to become acquainted, & to converse with the impenitent members of the class.  I have attended seveeral of these meetings and have found them interesting & improving.  I distribute [unclear] to about 20 families every month & attend a female prayer meeting every Saturday afternoon so you see I have not a great deal of leisure.  I went to Lowell last summer in vacation, & was much pleased with my visit;  mrs. M. has a beautiful boy, looks much like Caleb, Isaac is really a fine enterprising young man, & [unclear] strives to be all he can;  Caleb was in town a few weeks ago, but I [unclear ] [unclear] , he has improved much, he intends to enter colledge next [unclear]  [upside down words]  having a [unclear] with those children we have heard.

Weds not calls upon Mrs Child very often.  [body of letter] called up on Almeda to day & brought a letter from Aunt Conant & one from H.
