Monday July 7 Again returned to Salsbrand, and directed Mr Gouldsberry to buy a certain grey mare we had seen, but whose owner was not at home, leaving the money with him to pay for it
Tuesday July 8 1879 Returned to Gouldsberrys and he had bought me a very good horse for $40 - but not the one I had wished him to buy - However I took the two and am now ready to go
