119 888. DUNCAN, Fort [left margin] November 24. 1874. Capt. J. W. French, 25" Infantry, Commanding Fort Duncan, Texas, Sir:
The Brigadier General Commanding directs that you communicate with General Fuera of the Mexican Army and inform him that he regrets exceedingly his compelled absence from his Headquarters at this time, and hopes the General can postpone his visit until Early in January. If he cannot come then to San Antonio, the Department Commander will be very glad to meet him at Piedras Negras or at Fort Duncan.
