Early in the morning came to Robins ferry 45 miles from Cincinnati. the settlement is placed on the Eastern bank of the river, from which is shipped considerable quantities of cotton through this place runs the old road from San Antonio to Nacogdoches. The Cane grows in great[[ lux.??]] upon the banks, showing that the soil is rich and well adapted for Cotton, Sugar Tobacco, &c.  There is a plentifully wooded bottom with prairies behind. 4 PM arrived at Alabama, having had to stem? a 3 to 4 mile current - 35 miles from Robins ferry.
