I got up at six and ordered the Carriage and went to the Kokomo Depot with Octave and Hunt. met Mr Harvey and Belle in their Carriage, all going to receive Ada and Mattie Faulds from Louisville. they arrived on time both fat and well. my Mother much better I then went to church with Ada, Mr Badger and the boys went out to his Father,s. after lunch Belle Mr Harvey Mattie and Octave all came up to spend the afternoon Mr Badger and I went back with them to supper. Monday May 31 1875 This has been a bright day, all of us well I have concluded to give up my Norwegian girl as she dont seem nice enough. her name is [[note left margin: Olsen +]] Hannah Olsen. after lunch Ada Hunt & myself all went to the different places to find a new girl and then went shopping. Mr Harvey and Belle came up after tea. [[note left margin: Evanston) ]] Belle and Mattie spent the day in Evanston with Mrs Horace Lunt. Tuesday June 1st 1875 It has poured rain with Thunder and Lightning all day. all of us well but Eva she has taken cold and has fever and pains. and been compelled to go up to her room, so I followed her and remained with her. [[note left margin: Choral Hannah]] she cannot sleep and Dr Small has ordered Chloral for her to night, my Hannah went away to day to be a Nurse. [[note left margin: X birth of) twins)]] Wednesday June 2nd 1875 This has been a variable day. all of us well. this afternoon it rained, Eva dont feel well. so she has gone to her room, I went up and stayed all afternoon with her, she took her powder and at 12 in the night [[note left margin: Eva gone]] she called for me. I went up and labor had begun but worked very slowly, she suffering all night. + sent for Dr Small and Mrs Nelson. at one O,clock in the night or morning, a little daughter was born weighing 8 pound, and the Doctor announced another and at three sure enough another little girl was born weighing eight pound X | ||
