W Scott Hassler has resigned as director of packing and assistant director of purchasing of the Curtiss Candy Co. to organize W. Scott Hassler Associates. The new firm will specialize in package design and engineering service.

Freight car deliveries to the nation's railroads during April increased 18 per cent above March as more steel was made available to builders, according to the Assn. of American Railroads and the American Railways Car Institute.
