and I can't go to America. Well, may be we couldn't afford to anyway, but feeling you are forbidden is much worse. It reminds me of the way we felt towards the Germans, during the war, when they forbade us to go away - crossed out to so many places. Still we French people are more privileged than you are; we can get out and in as we wish. Last summer, I book a trip to England and Scotland which I enjoyed much - I didn't go to Ireland, though for your sake I should have! Good luck, Jack, and let's hope things will mend -
