Dear Jack and Gladys,
Back in Paris since last Summer, I still don't feel quite re-adapted to parisian life. I miss the Guatemalan Indians...and the sun - No chance of my crossing the Atlantic in 1968. Henri will, to prepare a Maya exhibition that will take place here in the Spring. Or next step may be Japan (for a congress in August 68) and then Cambogia [sic] (far Angkor) - if the political situation allows it! Just got a ring from Michel Fabre who is going to send me back the translation of the Disinherited. Sorry it won't be published. But if the best sellers point to the French public taste, the Disinherited have not much chance right now.
Congratulations for your getting the Iow [Iowa?] Award, I am sure you got some satisfaction out of it,
and it gives me joy also -
A very happy year for you both, health and wealth.... and let's hope for a peaceful world! Suzanne
