Chicago, Nov. 20, '72 Dear Jack:

Herewith notice of Leonard Dubkin's death, which I only learned about after buying the NEWS at 5 P.M. today.
I plan to attend the rites, the funeral service being held only a short distance from the halfway house where Jimmy

Sheridan resided prior to his demise.

Wedlake phoned this evening from the big bus terminal downtown. He was enroute to Sterling, Illinois, where his

brother-un-law recently died. I trust everyone is fairly well in Moberly. Regards, Mead

P.S.:/ As Dubkin was my own age, we both recalled the time when nearly every neighborhood had lots and lots of empty lots. I enjoyed his book greatly.
