Dear Jack:

 The mails in Chicago have been erratic, to put it mildly, in recent years. Though I placed a "Hold" on my deliveries, odd pieces of mail kept coming, while some was being

held and built-up at the sub-station. Upon returning last Friday, I immediately wrote to have delivery commence, but not until five days later did I get a bundle that was piled-up at the P.O., amongst which was your book, for which I thank you.

 Studs Terkel has a new T.V. series on N-E-T just now, The  Great American Dream Machine, last - crossed out latest of series was shown at Oberlin, Ohio, last Wednesday

night, rather, the taping and show was taken there and shown her on Ch 11 last Wednesday, a previous one was taped at a bar on the near North Side. Nothing outstanding, just people giving their news on current events, with Studs as moderator.

 Winter returned here, no zero yet, but all day, heavy rain yesterday, with high winds all night and today.
 Biggest fire in years right now taking place near Chicago & Mich. Ave - 952 Mich.
