   I've intended to answer your letter long ago but the thriving utility I work for just opened up and gave me a raise and now they are naturally asking for more than heretofore.  They'll get it for a while.
   I chanced upon the Masses that didn't like Unrest.  I got a laugh - of course you know they are right no damn half-dizzy, half starved poet is going to ever wiggle the structure - neither is any mangy Union Square Communist   Our crazy system is either going to grow up and bust or putrefy of its own accord without any help from anybody.
   My old man is partly right at that.  I have changed.  With a job that requires no mentality or ability - in fact where what I have oft times proves a severe handicap - with everything I need
