Dearest Mom: Have been so uncomfortably busy at the office lately that I thought I would postpone my reply until I could take it easy.

It pleases me very much to learn how nicely Martin and Dorothy are fitting into your life and how generous they are of their time and effort. Hope their gardening efforts will be fruitful and that nothing will happen to discourage them. Too bad more people cannot be like them.

I hope you have good news of Lois and can understand how anxious you are about her. Was pleased to hear how well Fan is doing but can understand that it might not be pleasant to visit her.
