I dont know but I could, any most?, or a pinch yet clean through this term without jacket or frock. I want some woolen gloves, like Joe's, cost $,50 or so, but etc. I dont know but can get along this fall? without nothing at all, ?.?! I dont know but I should get about awfull as much good this winter to stay at home as to stay here and study Cicero and Greek Reader etc. to study and stay at home, under the tuition of Sister Ann. I guess Joseph growled a bit when he found his Journal did not come in the praties! he will be disconsolate, I'm afraid. As to composition, I dont hardly know about it, perhaps I might learn to compose nothing in a large time If I should study for 2 or 3 years, Parkers exercises in English Composition which by the way I very much need or at least want, if I rightly understand the subject. Our class in the S. School has not had any regular teachers hardly for 2 or 3 weeks by but the new prof. at the seminary -- Smith from -- Mass. has agreed to teach I expect. The class consists of a lot of young men and some not very young. What has become of your Olive? I understand Joseph that she was there then. You did not write any of your letter Charles had got the Piles over east Bangor? You try not to have me think about the farm and much but I shall not be cheated into a lawyer yet I know!!!
