[top of letter] I had Eliab's jacknife in my pocket, by some unaccountable mistake, when I came up from Milo, and never knew it till Lucy went back, I am afraid he wants to use it. I really wish Eliab would write to me. It is for his own interest. He must practice writing especially if he would teach. Did I ever have the Canker rash?
