Monday morning - your letter was received this morning. We were glad to hear. We felt sure that our news would bring forth a response. We have still to report progress. Ella hopes to sit up a very little in two or three days. She means to be very careful in getting around, and does not mean to really be about under three weeks only to sit up a few minutes at a time. This the eighth day. Baby keeps pretty well. The weather is getting pretty warm though the summer has up to this time been pretty comfortable. Even now we have no hot winds, but comfortable breeze blows most of the time. However it is getting quite dry, and unless we have rain soon we may expect hot winds. Yes I remember Cousin Blanch. I think I called on her once or twice after she was marriage. I believe she & her sister Nellie lived in adjoining houses. I am sorry to hear of
