On the second day, the ceremony of exorcising the houses was repeated: So was the distribution of meat to be cooked for the evening repast: But the Yewah Hymn was not sung; and the people, generally, ate as they pleased, ___ excepting the seventeen persons just enumerated, who still continued their fast. A little before sunset, the victuals were called for, and eaten as on the day before. The third day was passed in all respects like the second. The fourth day's ceremonies in every particular resembled those of the first. The Yowah Hymn was sung thrice, ___ viz: at noon, ___ and about sunset; ___ the exorcising the houses was repeated; ___ and there was the same distribution of meat for cooking. All fasted, as on the first day; and, as then, all bathed by plunging seven times. The sacrifice was offered; and the Oo, Lung, say, tah consulted, as on the first day.
