is gaining finely. I did not see the 'Squire' as he had gone to attend a funeral. He has been poorly too since their marriage but is pretty well now. We have heard nothing more of that sickness in Forrestport so suppose it has passed away- Mr. John Hughes (cousin to R. Prichard) died of pneumonia in Bethal about a week since - Who do you suppose I found taking care of Mrs. Lewis? Mary Ann, Sibbie's sister- It was a great surprise to me and a very cheerful one too- it seemed most like seeing Robbie's folks- They are all quite well and she said if I would only write to Robbie he would come and take us there for a visit any time - If A. were only a bit stronger- she has been to the village once last week to John Pugh's- he goes every morning with the horse and returns at noon- then goes back after dinner and returns in the evening. We could go with him

[top left corner, vertical writing] enjoyed them. Hope you had a good time at Elberon shall be looking for a full letter. Much love to you and Mrs. J. S & also our dear J.??? Hastily J. & A.
