Our next vacation occurs in a fortnight. During that time I intend to travel and would like to visit you but shall not probably be able. Shall probably go at Swansy. I must have my eye out there. How is consistency put to the blush by those (I was about to say) rascals? Mr. Plympton the assistant is a Congregationalist and I believe preparing for the ministry and when he was employed received the assurance that his religious tenets would not be interfered with but he would be at liberty to attend Church where he pleased. Have that harmonises with their doctrine a year ago? ! ? thou art a pen? but My thou wouldn't adorn a swine's snout! Yet so woulds't fit the brave of those men. But I have time to write no more. Let me hear from you often. I have not again heard from P.R. I think he is to say the least not a very prompt correspondent. E.S. Fish is at Shelburne Falls he wished me to inform you of his whereabouts and say he would be happy to receive a line. With my best wishes for your health and prosperity I remain your obedient servant H. Pratt
