Hillsdale, Mich, Nov 1 1886

Dear Aunt Jennie and all It seems quite a long time since we have had a letter from you though we have heard indirectly through John and Azia. Anna and I took a walk yesterday after- noon through the lane and towards the ceme- tary. It was very pleasant and I thought how you would enjoy these lovely days. We have had a great deal of pleasant weather this Fall. Today it is almost as warm as sum- mer. Our geraniums are out enjoying the sunlight. We have not had frost enough yet to infine them. I am planning to go down town this afternoon, You will be glad to know that Anna goes to church almost every Sunday so we can all go, except for a few Sundays past, no children have gone to church for fear of the diptheria, so Anne
