I remember very well her visit with Aunt Anna at New Hampton. I often wish I could see you all and should have liked to stop and visit you this Fall on my way home from Hillsdale but with very poor health and little baby it was too much to attempt and also too great a tax on your hospitality. But I do hope I may sometime be able to see you either at your home or have a visit from you in mine. We enjoyed our visit at Hillsdale and it did me a great deal of good. Of course it brought dear Mother's loss vividly to mind and we found the greatest charm of our home gone. It does not seem as it used to there at all Father does all he can in kindness and sympathy with his children to fill Mother's place, but no one can do that or make his home as pleasant as it was when she was there.
