Conference with Certain Chiefs and Warriors of the Cherokee Nation at Philadelphia in June, 1794. The following Chiefs and Warriors of the Cherokee Nation, to Template:Unclear Tekakiskee, or taken out of the water- Nontuaka, or the Northward- Kinnesah, or the Cabin- Sky uka- Chuquiliatague, or Double Head- John McClermore- Walalue, or the Humming Bird- Chulloah- Ustanqua- Kulsatcha- Siteaha- Keenaguna, or the Singing Fawn- Chatakalesa, or the Fool Carrier- Neawatea, or the Template:Grits?- Ewaseta or Cork Eyed John- Augustaque- the Little Turkey's Son- Anoteta, or Bushyhead- and Chittackickee, having arrive in the City of Philadelphia the 6th day of June 1794 had their first conference with the Secretary of War, on Tuesday the 10th day of June, in the Senate Chamber of the United States. Philadelphia, Tuesday Morning, June 10, 1794. At a meeting of the Secretary of war and the Cherokee Chiefs held this day at the Senate Chamber. The Secretary of War. I am desired by the President of the United States, to bid your welcome after so long a journey. You must now think yourselves, at home; be Template:Unclear and of good cheer: recollect and Template:Unclear freely- tell who has injured you, - and peak all your griefs: the President your father will give you redress- speak freely, because what you say will so to his ears- he wishes to have all his red friends on the same footing with his white friends- all to live together: consult among yourselves what sort of Template:Unclear will be most convenient for you here and what you would wish to carry home to your friends.
