and received- and all who had obtained reservations within the State of Georgia, were Template:Unclear of them, by the authorities of that state. This caused the reservees for the recovery of their lands and they succeeded. The Legislature then memorialized Congress for an appropriation of money to buy out the reservees title for the benefit of their own citizens, who were the "fortunate drawers" of these tracts of land. Congress made the appropriation and Commissioners were appointed by the President of the United States, to negociate with the Reservees for their lands, who sold out their lands to the United States for the benefit of Georgia and her citizens. Thus the reservees in that quarter became homeless. They thought of their own kindred and turned their course towards their native country, and the arms of their nation embraced them. Now, {unclear}} you, in the name of honesty and justice, is this wrong? And ought these very men who chose once to live amongst you; and was thus forced by your fellow citizens, by state authority and by the inducements of the United State Government,- to be blamed and hated for now living here, on their own native soil, and with the Template:Unclear of their fellow countrymen. As to the Template:Unclear for which the Reservees sold their land, I am uninformed, and I do not consider it important to know a long list of names of persons who, it is said have registered their names for reservations, and emigration, together with their descendants, have also been published by Mr Schermerhorn.
