Vaccinated + Tuesday Jan 12th 1875 This has been a quick? day. all of us are Well. We went visiting, and called on many people at the Palmer house; Mr Henry Field very ill with Typhoid fever. hid brother just died in New York called on Mrs Leiter, she sick with Reheumatism, I went to bed feeling bad from being out So long all day. Mr Burton ill, Wednesday Jan 13th 1875 It snowed to day Several times, and a great Many Cutters are out. after lunch I went out calling with Eva and Ada We only made a few calls when our Carriage pole broke and we sent it home. and Belle let me have her Carriage and she went with us, and we went on the North Side and saw many ladies, Mr Stiles Burton is dead, Mr Field no better, we called on Mr Spruance, Mrs Wilson, Mr Leonard, Mrs McGregor Adams & Miss Jewett, I engaged a German girl to day for sewing, Pauline Gabler Mr & Mrs Hearhy came up to night, they intend to give a party & Belle,s baby was vaccinated to day.
