and much better Grazing than we had had on the Pecos.
The Camp is considerably scattered in order to give more room for grazing. We are about a mile from the river but near the road in order to avoid pulling thro' heavy sand. Our cook is working under great difficulties. & we expect to get a full share of dust sand in all we eat to-day.
Smither has been trying to sleep in the tent - but the dust drove him out & into the ambulance, where he is now trying to read a novel. Dr Smith & I had a few games of casino but it gave it up as a bad job & quite exhausted myself in cutting & trying to clean my nails. Our faces & hands
