8 O'Clock P.M. Jan 22o Dear Wife,

                            I have just been into Doct. Higday's Office & he has given me a prescription for Winnie which I Enclose. I will get the "Santonin" & send it Enclosed in this letter. It must be powdered fine before giving it. I asked Doct. Higday for his bill for Examining your lungs etc. etc. & for this, & how much do you suppose he asked me. Well, he would not take any pay, it was on his part an act of friendship. I hope you will take such care of your lungs as he suggested & that you will be able to subdue the inflamation in that left lung of yours. Do not neglect it. Be sure & write me about it.
