My Dear, dear Anna, Now It is, that I have first found time

to fulfill my promise. Now is the time that I have so long been
waiting for, almost with impatience. I did not expect though that it 

would would be so late before I would begin to write. It is about twenty minutes after seven, and I shall have to hurry a little, or I can not write but a very short letter. Perhaps you are writing to me now dear sister, and perhaps you have got your letter all written and placed in the post office. I presume Father and Mother have reached there before this time, and you are having a fit, forgive me I was not going to say firstrate , a very pleasant visit, I meant. I guess now, that I have got through perhapsing, I will descend to "matter of fact." One thing I am sure of is, that I had very poor ink when I began to write, and that I have just got some better.
