417 East 57th Street, New York, Dec 11, 1907.

My dear Doctor:

I was delighted to receive your extra letter and would have sent on an answer long ago had I been well. Have been ordered to Los Angeles for the winter as the docter fears that in my present run-down condition I could not weather a New York winter. So I am leaving today for Los Angeles, California via New Orleans going by steamer to New Orleans and then by rail to Los Angeles. Will reach Los Angeles Dec 21st.

I am sending you these lines to advise you of this fact and also of my address, and hope you will sit down and write me a letter which I will find word crossed out awaiting
